Dear SLO Tango Dance Community,

Can you believe it? I am writing, and its not about an upcoming workshop!
Instead, I would like to take this opportunity to send out wishes for a
healthy and happy holiday season as we conclude yet begin again another
year. May you and yours not only be blessed, but may you also recognize and
give thanks for these blessings.

I would also like to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation
for this lovely and remarkable community. It is a daunting, perhaps
impossible, task to list all of the invaluable, community-oriented behaviors
that I have witnessed since joining this community. While it is likely to be
a bit clumsy and unavoidably inadequate, what follows is my attempt to
recognize and applaud the various (and numerous) people in this community
who make SLO Tango a possibility .

For those who provide local instruction, for those who arrange and advertise
for our visiting instruction, for those who host our visiting instructors,
for those who host other visiting dancers or musicians, for those who
organize our regularly scheduled milongas, for those who plan and arrange
for our special milongas, for those who DJ, for those who come early or
stay late to clean up, for those who bring yummy or drinkable treats, for
those who support and attend our milongas and special dance events, for
those who share their ideas, experiences, and time: thank you. Thank you for
your commitment and loyalty. Thank you for your considerate efforts and
dedicated support. Thank you for the dances and tandas. Thank you for making
tango a splendid reality!


I count myself as truly blessed to belong to this (nothing short of) amazing
community! In the coming year, may you give and receive an abundance of
love. May you witness and participate in many moments of joy. May you be the
change you want to see.
