SLO Tango -- get ready for JUNE 15-18

 Hello there SLO tango dancers,



With June just around the corner, I must take action and solidify the details of our upcoming weekend workshop with Korey & Mila (June 15-18). Not only is it important to give Korey & Mila ample time to prepare for instructing our community, it is vital that we properly advertise for the event so that we can attract many dancers to this special weekend. I am so excited, and hope that you are all planning for and looking forward to a wonderfully dance-filled weekend. :)



Honoring the instructors’ request, we will schedule 4 instructional classes on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. Attached you will find a proposed schedule of instructional events and other special dance happenings planned for the weekend of June 15th. Please review this document at your earliest convenience. I welcome any feedback, questions, or suggestions. If you are signing up for a semi-private, I will need to hear back from you as soon as you can manage it. Please let me know if you are “partnered” or not. I will do my best to facilitate communication between interested “singles.”



Following the suggestions of both Rich and Korey, I am proposing a workshop schedule including 2 all levels group classes, 2 intermediate + group classes, 3 advanced-intermediate semi-privates, and 2 advanced semi-privates. If there is not sufficient interest for one or more of the semi-privates, the schedule will be modified. One or more group classes will be added to accommodate any semi-private that does not generate enough interest. If there is overwhelming interest for a particular semi-private topic, then we can modify the schedule and create a group class in its place. If this special case arises, such a group class will require partners and rotation will be voluntary.



Korey & Mila are fantastic teachers – the teaching style they have developed is impressively effective, interesting, and enjoyable. I know that anyone who attends their classes will benefit greatly. Individual privates can be scheduled in any of the open slots indicated on the attached schedule. In addition, if there is enough interest, a semi-private accommodating other topics and/or levels can also be scheduled. Please do not hesitate to express interest! Korey & Mila can begin teaching such privates sometime Friday and will be available throughout Monday (possibly even Tuesday the 19th).
