This Saturday from 8pm to midnight will be the first of what we hope
will be many Tango
Nights at the historic Carrillo Ballroom, 100 E. Carrillo St. in
downtown Santa Barbara.

This first Tango Night we will share the floor with the ballroom
dancers from the Parks &
Rec. ballroom classes. Nigel will teach a class from 8-9pm, and will
play a wide variety of
Tango music from 9-10:30pm.

The remainder of the evening (10:30-midnight) will be exclusively
Argentine Tango music,
including Milongas and Valses Cruzados. Both Golden Age classics and
more modern
compositions will be featured.

Guest artist, Jorge Nel, will dance in exhibition, and join us for
social dancing.
A wide selection of tango shoes for men and women will also be
available for purchase.

The $12 admission includes a full evening of dancing (come as early
as 5pm for the Twilight
Ballroom Dance, and stay for the rest!) as well as refreshments and
appetizers, including
traditional Argentine empanadas generously provided by Cafe Buenos
Aires.

Check the DanceSantaBarbara website for details on this and other
Saturday Night dances in
