SLO Tango -- Almost time to dance!

 Hello SLO tango dancers,



As you know, Christy & Darren will be coming to teach SLO Tango dance community October 26-29. Attached you will find a schedule of instructional events and special events. It is best viewed when printed.



Take special note of all the locations for the various events. Also, please see pricing details, paying special attention to the special one-hour Introduction to Tango for all beginning levels.



Friday Chamuyo & Milonga: 8pm, Derek’s house in SLO. Details forthcoming.



Saturday workshop: 11am-5:30pm, Central Coast Dance Studio in Los Osos



Saturday Performance, Milonga, Tango No. 9 LIVE: Chumash Auditorium. Details forthcoming.



Sunday workshop: 11:30am-5pm,  Central Coast Dance Studio in Los Osos



Sunday potluck event: 6pm, Norm & Anne’s house in Los Osos. Details forthcoming.



Monday guided review & practica followed by open dancing: 7-10pm, SLO Vet’s Hall. This instructional event will be led by Christy Cote.



Private instruction: Privates will be scheduled on a per request basis. The location of privates will be determined by the dancers and teachers. If it is necessary to secure studio space, rental fees must be paid by dancers. Keep in mind that scheduling privates on non-weekend days avoids the problem of overbooking our teachers on their busiest instructional days.

a.	Individual privates: $80 per hour per instructor; maximum of one couple per instructor.

b.	Semi-privates: $60 per couple per hour of instruction; led by both instructors; minimum of three couples.



Group classes: We will offer a one-hour “introduction to tango” class for all beginning levels for a set fee of $20. However, this fee will also get you entry into the big Chumash event! All beginners (first timers or those in level one) should jump on this incredible opportunity. There will be a progressive fee schedule for the remaining six 90-minute group classes over the course of the weekend. Ninety-minute group classes are 75 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of practice.

a.	Introductory, Beginning-Intermediate, and All Levels group classes do not require partnered dancers and frequent rotation is expected. We will have 4 such group classes.

b.	Intermediate-Advanced group classes strongly recommend partnered dancers and rotation is not expected. We will have 2 such group classes.



Monday is an open day for any kind of private. So, don’t be shy to schedule one. Please communicate with me if you require studio space for your private.
