SLO Tango -- (no subject)

Hello members of the SLO tango dance community,           January 2008



As some of you heard at Monday night announcements, I am stepping down as workshop organizer. I am happy to have assisted both Rich and the community during 2007. 



In the meantime, Rich is seeking another individual to organize our 2008 workshops. The good news is a chunk of the work is done – we have 4 or 5 sets of instructors who have set tentative dates for their return in 2008. Thus, the only work remaining is finding affordable studio rentals, making housing arrangements for our visiting instructors, communicating with instructors and the community about upcoming events, and helping schedule privates.



I am happy to share any and all documents with the volunteer (or volunteers) who choose to organize our 2008 workshops. Rich is also looking for an additional person (or persons) who will advertise in SLO and to all surrounding dance communities for these special events.



Korey & Mila will be here in March, so the sooner we get an interested volunteer, the better. Please contact Rich at your earliest convenience if you are interested in taking on some new tango responsibilities and able to donate your time and efforts for the benefit of our community.
