SLO Tango -- 2nd Annual Cal Poly Mustang Ball

We are having our 2nd Annual Mustang Ball on Saturday, February 9th. 
There will be two levels of Argentine Tango (Newcomer/Beginner and 
Intermediate/Advanced) that you can enter for only $5.  Some of you may 
recall that the top three couples in our Argentine Tango event were from 
SLO Tango - see attached picture!  Hopefully SLO Tango will once again be
well represented in this event.

The Cal Poly DanceSport Team is pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Mustang 
Ball DanceSport Competition, to be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 in 
the Chumash Auditorium in Cal Poly.s University Union.

We are building on the success of our inaugural competition last year, 
which had over 350 spectators and featured 159 competitors competing in 65 
events. This year's competition will feature even more events, and will 
include International Standard and Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm, and 
Nightclub dances (including Salsa, Hustle, West Coast Swing, Argentine 
Tango, Lindy Hop). There will also be a formation team competition, 
performances, a team match, and other fun events throughout the day.

Leonidus & Aliona Proskurov, Professional Rising Star Latin Finalists, 
will be performing a 5 dance Latin Showcase at the end of the evening 
session! Don't miss this exciting performance!

We will have a dance shoe vendor onsite, so this is a excellent 
opportunity to try on and purchase a pair of dance shoes. We will also be 
having a silent auction with many great items available.

Spectator admission is free with a valid student ID ($5 otherwise), so 
come watch or compete with DanceSport Competitors and Collegiate Teams 
from across the state!
