SLO Tango -- Tomorrow @ Nexus: Closing out Milonga Month with vals + chamuyo 🥂

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow's class will finish out 'milonga month' with another week of vals.
Don't forget, we have a milonga coming up this weekend (see details below)
- it'll be the perfect place to enjoy all three of the tango styles that "make

   - *Style*: Vals
   - *Musicality*: Fluid melodies and quick-quick rhythms
   - *Technique*: Creating, sustaining, and pausing momentum
   - *Steps*: 8-count with vals rhythms (level 1), cadencias/giros (level 2)
   - *Milonga skills:* Finding connection & flow

>From 6:30-7:30, we'll explore a few different fun options for circular
movement. In levels 1 (7:30-8) and 2 (8-8:30) we will continue reinforcing
our ability to work with the 3-count beat, including those tricky 1-2 and
3-1 rhythms. Level 2 will also transition to circular movements. And from
8:30-9pm, we'll have one more *🎶 *mini-milonga *🎶 *featuring both vals
and tango music.

*Since it's the last week of the month, it's also time for our 🥂 monthly
chamuyo!* 🥂  Stay after class to enjoy snacks and share your thoughts on
future class directions, or anything else that's on your tango mind.

   - *🔥 THIS WEEKEND Sat 8/30, 7:30-10:30pm: *Hot August Nights milonga @
   Derek's house (1343 Pismo St., SLO). DJed by Henlie, featuring "orquestas
   de tango actuales" (modern orchestras playing traditional music). No cover,
   but please bring drinks/snacks to share!
   - 🌞* Sun 9/14, 5-8pm: *September edition of the Buen Día milonga, DJed
   collaboratively by myself and Rich. Our music will feature "something for
   everyone", spanning traditional to contemporary.
