SLO Tango -- Tonight @ Nexus: We're spiraling 😵‍💫 (+ milonga this weekend!)

Hi everyone - we had a great class last Thursday. I saw everyone making
really good progress with their technique, and we're looking forward to
seeing you again tonight to build on that work!

   - *6:30 - 7:30pm: "Beyond fundamentals" class*. Developing unusual
   crosses into spiral crosses
   - *7:30 - 8pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 1: Moving Together*. Cadencias:
   controlling rotation
   - *8 - 8:30pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 2: Taking Turns*. Balanced & circular
   in the molinete
   - *8:30 - 9pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 3: Key Elements*. Molinete w/
*reverse *barridas
   (foot sweeps)

As before, we'll emphasize hearing and following the beat of the music to
structure these movements, including both the even beat and quick-quick
slow patterns.

Upcoming events:

   - *🌊 Sat 7/26, 6-9pm (THIS WEEKEND): *Val's monthly milonga in Los Osos
   (2055 9th St, Suite C). $7 cover, potluck drinks & food.
   - *🌞 Sun 8/10, 5-8pm: *Buen Día milonga at Nexus Studio (SLO Public
   Market), w/ DJ Mary White. $10 cover. (Note the new, later start time!)
   - *🔥 Sat 8/30, 7:30-10:30pm: *Hot August Nights milonga @ Derek's house
   (1343 Pismo St., SLO). DJed by Henlie, with a mix of mostly traditional and
   some alternative music. No cover, but please bring drinks/snacks to share!
