SLO Tango -- Tonight @ Nexus: Finishing strong + chamuyo

Hi everyone - tonight is the last class of July, so we're working on
solidifying and refining all the special crosses, molinetes, and barridas
we've been practicing over the last month.

   - *6:30 - 7:30pm: "Beyond fundamentals" class*. Refining spiral crosses
   - *7:30 - 8pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 1: Moving Together*. Walking together
   with our partner & the music
   - *8 - 8:30pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 2: Taking Turns*. Balanced & circular
   connection in the molinete
   - *8:30 - 9pm: 1-2-3 Tango Level 3: Key Elements*. Walking barridas
   (foot sweeps)

That also means our monthly chamuyo will be tonight! Come enjoy some snacks
and chats. I'm especially interested in hearing your thoughts about next
month's series. We are thinking about doing a month focused on skills and
topics that will make us all more confident social dancers, since there are
so many upcoming milonga opportunities in August!

Upcoming events:

   - *🎻 Sun 8/3, 2:30-3:30pm (THIS weekend): *Tango 'salon' hosted by
   Jeannette at Studios on the Park (1130 Pine St, Paso Robles), with a mix of
   lecture, listening to music, and dancing.
   - *🌝 Sun 8/10, 5-8pm: *Buen Día milonga at Nexus Studio (SLO Public
   Market), w/ DJ Mary White. $10 cover. Apparently there will be moon-themed
   music and birthday cake(!)
   - *🌊 Sat 8/23, 6-9pm: *Val's monthly milonga in Los Osos (2055 9th St,
   Suite C). $7 cover, potluck drinks & food.
   - *🔥 Sat 8/30, 7:30-10:30pm: *Hot August Nights milonga @ Derek's house
   (1343 Pismo St., SLO). DJed by Henlie, with a mix of mostly traditional and
   some alternative music. No cover, but please bring drinks/snacks to share!
