SLO Tango -- Buen Día Milonga May 18!!!

Hello Tango Community,
First!  Happy Mother's Day next Sunday.  Our milonga will be the following Sunday!



Iam excited to share that our DJ for the May milonga will be MaryWhite!  For those of us who were dancing in pre-pandemic times Mary’simportance in the tango community is well known!
 Forthose newer to tango who do not know Mary or may have justrecently met her, I would like to share that from 2012 to March 2020 we allwere able to dance twice a month at the Grange Hall (later the Guild Hall)thanks to her DJ expertise and her willingness to schlep heavy speakers andother equipment back and forth to the hall in her little Red 2004 Hyundai.  The music and snacks were abundant and fromtime to time Mary would bring live musicians to our area to play for us!
  WhenJohn and I started doing tango I remember our first couple of milongas therevery well.  We were nervous and insecure being new to tango but wegradually came to be more and more relaxed and later very grateful to have aplace to socialize and dance twice a month.  I miss my laugh out louddances with Jack Girolo who was among the many regulars in attendance.
Iam super happy that Mary is on board to come back and be our DJ for the BuenDía Milonga this month.  Youare welcome to share in the celebration...if you are not currently dancing or if you have not yet attendeda milonga, please feel free to join us… and enjoy the music, eat, drink andchat with Mary!
