here's the full list of events coming up this weekend.

   - *Beginners*: Come to Nexus from 12-1:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday
   - *Int/Advanced students*: Come to Nexus for classes starting at 12,
   1:30, or 3:30pm on Sat and Sun
   - *"I just wanna dance"*: Derek's house at 6pm on Friday, Nexus at 7pm
   on Saturday

*Friday, November 21st at Derek's Home, San Luis Obispo (1343 Pismo Street)*
*Chamuyo 6:30-7:30pm, Dancing 7:30-9pm*

*There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Come early (6 - 6:30)
and get acquainted, then enjoy free discussion group (chamuyo) with Christy
Coté. Get her perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango. Bring
your questions and enjoy the evening with this internationally renowned
master instructor from San Francisco. Come join in the fun.*
*Continue the evening with great food, drink, music, and most of all
dancing. Christy will supply the music so be ready for a wonderful mix of
music to dance some fantastic tandas. No cover for this social dancing
event at Derek's Home, 1343 Pismo St, San Luis Obispo (off Johnson).
Limited parking, please carpool if you can. Bring an appetizer or dessert
to share and beverage of your choice.*

*Saturday, November 22nd at Nexus, San Luis Obispo*

   - 12:00 – 1:30pm: Close Embrace "Recipe for Success on the Dance Floor"
   - Part I (Beg)

*A list of “ingredients” that will make you look and feel like an advanced
dancers in Buenos Aires in not time at all. All in a comfortable close
embrace with quality of movement, connection to your partner and most
importantly musicality!*

   - 1:30 – 3:00 pm: Parallel Followers & Leaders Classes

Completing the Phrase with Creative Embellishing for Followers with Christy
(Int): *Basic to advanced embellishments with creativity for more lyrical
style Tangos, and how to complete the phrase. During the last 20 min of
this workshop, followers will have the opportunity to try out their
embellishments with the leaders from Rich’s workshop.*

Leaders Find Opportunities for the Followers to Shine in the Dance with
Rich (Int): *Basic patterning for finding the pauses or parades in the
dance. Leaders will learn clean and accurate technique for these patterns
with each other and be able to lead the followers from Christy’s workshop
during the last 20 min of the class.*

   - 3:30 – 5:00 pm Opportunities for the Followers to Shine in the Dance”
   (Adv)

*Working with musicality and the structure of Argentine Tango to creatively
find the pauses and parades in the dance allowing the followers to complete
the musical phrasing with their embellishments. This workshop requires the
leaders to be fluent with advanced elements of the dance in order to work
on their own improvisation to create the opportunities.*

   - 7:00pm – 10:00pm Milonga (Social Dancing)

*Join us for a Milonga (social dancing) at Nexus, the same beautiful venue
as the classes, $15 cover. Feel free to bring a beverage or snack to share.*

*Sunday, November 23rd at Nexus, San Luis Obispo*

   - 12:00 – 1:30 pm Close Embrace “Recipe for Success on the Dance Floor”
   - Part II (Int)

*A list of “ingredients” that will make you look and feel like an advanced
dancer in Buenos Aires in no time at all. All in a comfortable close
embrace with quality of movement, connection to your partner, and most
importantly musicality! It is strongly recommended for all participants to
take Part I on Saturday.*

   - 1:30 – 3:00 pm Boleos and Soltadas to Nuevo tango music (Int - Adv)

*Fun improvisation of effortless smooth Back and Forward Boleos combined
with a Soltada (breaking of the embrace) danced to Nuevo Tango music.*

   - 3:30 – 5:00 pm Fun Milonga Pasos for all! (Int - Adv)

*Christy’s favorite Milonga Pasos and how to work them into your favorite
Milonga songs including Traditional and Alternative Milongas. *
