SLO Tango -- Thursday @ Nexus: Resurrecting the ghosts of tango past 👻

Hi everyone,

This week, we're taking the concept of expressive dancing and bringing it
back in time to the "golden age" of tango music. Though these musicians are
long dead, their spirits are still with us through their songs 👻 We'll
point out interesting features of this music, offer technique tips, and
provide plenty of time to dance.

Next week, we'll go from ghosts to robots, as we jump forward in time to
explore the expressive possibilities of electronic music. 🤖

   - *6:30 - 7:30pm: Experienced dancers. *Exploring techniques to develop
   expressive range while dancing to traditional orchestral music.
   - *7:30 - 8:30pm: Progressive fundamentals*. Developing comfort and
   expression within close embrace.
   - *8:30 - 9:00pm: Practilonga. *Practice your skills or just enjoy
   dancing to a few mini tandas.

Upcoming events:

   - *👣 Tues 10/28, 7:15-8:45pm: *Practica series at Studio de Myriam
   (3563 Sueldo St., Suite N, SLO). $15. Optional exercises, and an open floor
   for practicing.
   - 🌞 *Sun 11/9, 5-8pm: *November edition of Buen Día milonga at Nexus.
   DJ Bonnie returns from the East Coast to bring us "tango through the
   years", from *guardia vieja *to *tango libre. *$10.
   - *💃11/21-23: *Save the date for another full weekend of workshops &
   milongas with Christy Coté.
   - 🎄*Sat 12/6: *Nexus' annual holiday party!
   - ❄️*Sun 12/14, 5-8pm: *Buen Día transforms into our Midwinter Milonga
   at the Avila Bay clubhouse.
