through the years" will be the musical theme for our Nov. Buen Dia
Milonga. I'll be starting with some of the earlier Guardia Vieja
selections, moving into the beat driven "Tango Milonguero" years, on to
the more romantic "Tango Salon" style times and finish off with some
newer post 1946 tandas (DiSarli is in there too!) - often called the
"Tango Libre" years when most anything goes. </div><div><br></div><div>Dancing around
the east coast has been fun. I've had the opportunity to dance in
Quebec, VT, Conn. & NY. Some wonderful fundamental instructors, Virginia Cutillo and</div><div> Juan Cantone last week were followed by the
familiar pros: <a href="https://photos.app.goo.gl/E3BrgvJidb5vJqj18" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Maxi & Paloma</a> in Conn. </div><div><br></div><div>I noticed in Canada that Guardia Vieja, with its simple beat, is still popular with experienced dancers. </div><div>For
those who like more modern music - the "Tango Libre" years will be
mostly familiar dance tunes with one new orchestra discovery.</div><div><br></div><div>Hope to see everyone there in Nov!</div></div>
