No cover for this event at Sally Loo’s Wholesome Cafe, 1804 Osos St., San Luis Obispo (near the railroad station).

Saturday, April 18th

12:00 – 1:30 pm      The Walk – Simple to Complex

The Tango Walk: Walk with elegance, slow or fast with stops and changes of direction.

1:30 – 3:00 pm        Musicality

Connecting to and interpreting the music when dancing to rhythmic tangos and to melodic tangos.

3:30 – 5:00 pm        Milonga – Happy Feet

Slow and quick steps to make your feet smile while dancing Milonga.

Sunday, April 19th

12:00 – 1:30 pm      Change of Direction

Explore opportunities to change direction from “La Salida” and “La Cruzada.”

1:30 – 3:00 pm        Hooks and Leg Wraps

Understand the difference between Ganchos (hooks) and Enganches (wraps).

3:30 – 5:00 pm        Vals – Entrances and Exits in Turns

Explore different entrances and exits for turns in Vals (Argentine Waltz).

 

Classes at Motions Academy of Dance, Atascadero: 4040 El Camino Real, Atascadero: From Hwy 101 (north or south), exit on San Anselmo Rd. Take San Anselmo northeast, turn left on El Camino Real. It's on the left in the K-Mart Shopping Center.

The last 15 minutes of each class will be for practice and/or warm-up for next class.  Please try to arrive early so you don’t miss anything.

Cost: $30 per person per class.  Register for multiple classes:  2 for $50, 3 for $70, 4 for $80, 5 for $90, all 6 for $100.  Contact Rich to schedule private classes, $110/hr. Pre-register online.

Milonga (social dancing) at Rich & Lina's home, 10205 San Lucas Rd, Atascadero, no cover. Some GPS databases may try to take you on non-existant roads in this area. So, you may want to download these detailed directions or pickup a copy in class. You are more than welcome to change cloths here when you arrive if you would like.

General Technique – Clarifying concepts and structures of the dance. Eduardo will also supervise the practice so you can get feedback on material from the workshops. $15 Admission for the evening.

Eduardo Saucedo is internationally recognized for his love and passion of the dance. He travels the world sharing his knowledge and culture with the people he meets. He considers Tango to be an admirable art form that expresses body, mind, spirit and soul. His clear communication and positive energy motivates and inspires passion in everyone and reflects his love and joy of life. His teaching is creative and practical focusing on subtle details. The essence of the Milongas can be felt in Eduardoís dancing and teaching. His style originates from his working and co-hosting a popular Milonga in Buenos Aires for several years.

Eduardo has complemented this training with studies in various dance disciplines as well as theatre and acting,and is a continuing student of the Performing Arts. He has performed in theatres, appeared on television, and participated in various international tango festivals. He is the Creator, Director, Co-Coreographer and Co-Producer of the dinner show Tango Cafe- Una Noche Ideal, shown in the historical la Confiteria Ideal, as well as other shows.

In Buenos Aires, Eduardo teaches in his private Studio in Palermo, where many other activities and projects are being produced.
